- Michael Hillman originally qualified as a barrister having completed a law degree at UWE followed by the bar vocational course at the Inns of Court School of Law. Michael was called to the Bar in 1995.
- Michael was employed by Freshfields Solicitors in London and Hong Kong, before joining Ralph Haeems and Co solicitors in 1997, where he specialised in criminal defence litigation.
- He completed the qualified Lawyers Transfer Test and was admitted as a solicitor in April1998.
- In May 2003, Michael was awarded his Higher Rights of Audience in all criminal courts. He now principally practices in the Crown Court, specialising in jury trials where he has been involved in cases of all levels including multiple murder. Michael has also appeared in the Court of Appeal. He is a member of the VHCC panel.
- Michael has had extensive experience of criminal defence litigation at all levels.
- Michael is a member of the LCCSA, CLSA and SAHCA.
