- Family Law covers a wide variety of issues relating to relationship breakdown, domestic violence, money and property disputes, arrangements for children and adoption. At Blackfords LLP we have the teams to address all of these issues and we are structured in recognition of the diversity of family problems that arise in modern society. Our aim is to ensure that individual clients see the most appropriate fee earner from the first appointment to the conclusion of the case. We are therefore organised into two teams dealing with Children’s Law and General Family Law.
- We recognise that family breakdown represents one of the most stressful events in life and that the uncertainty surrounding such problems adds to the pain and anguish felt by anyone who has experienced such difficulties. Apart from providing quality advice to our clients, we see an essential element of the service that we provide as including an efficient and streamlined procedure that minimises costs and narrows issues from the outset. With that in mind, we have provided the essential information that we require in the form of questionnaires and checklists for you to download and complete so that when you approach us for advice at the point of initial enquiry, you have already compiled the information that we are likely to request from you in an organised and properly structured format. This means that you are already beginning to think about the issues that need to be discussed and are not incurring costs unnecessarily while we gather information that you have already compiled. In effect, when you come to see us you will “hit the ground running” and the time you spend with us will be effectively used to progress your case as opposed to gathering information.
- To proceed further please go to the relevant tabs which cover the issues upon which you seek our advice. Please download the relevant forms to complete and email them back to familylaw@blackfords.com with a request for an initial appointment. We aim to respond to all such enquiries within 24 hours and please confirm which office you would prefer to attend for an appointment. Remember, we offer a no obligation fixed fee appointment of £100 including VAT for initial advice to help you find out where you stand. If you do require an ongoing service from us arising out of this meeting the details of future work can be agreed at this meeting.
- So, whatever the family problem that you may have, we at Blackfords LLP are here to help you and we will provide you with an efficient, professional and friendly service at each stage of what is bound to be a difficult process for all parties involved.
